What a wonderful Christmas!

We had a fantastic Christmas with a few ups & downs along the way. Right after I posted the last blog about Carter having a fever on the 23rd, Amy called from SS saying he was really fussy & still had a fever. Justin took him to the doctor that afternoon & he supposedly had a viral infection & we just had to wait it out. By Christmas morning though he was fever free & was pretty much back to normal. Santa was very good to him & he had a number of present opening sessions on Christmas & the next day. We had our mothers & my brother over to our house on Christmas day, went to my Dads that night & then had all of Justin's fam over to our house the next day. It was all very eventful with the cousins there on Sat...we loved having everyone over! Poor Justin started feeling crumy in the middle of the day though & had a temperature of 102 by that night. He went to the doctor on Sunday & they sent him home with a ton of meds & said he just had allergy drainage which I just don't think that is all it is b/c of the fever but his bloodwork came back fine so who knows. I'm thinking he picked up the viral infection from Carter man. He got a cortisone shot & is feeling better today. As of Sat. night we were thinking we weren't heading to Tampa on Tues. for the Outback bowl on New Years but I think we are still planning on going. Carter will stay here with the grandparents. We will head down Tues. night & stay until Sat. I think there are about 10 of us going so it should be fun! It is pretty much the same group we went with to New Orleans back in Oct. for the terrible LSU game. Hopefully Auburn can pull out a win at the bowl game!!

Our Christmas card...

The goodies I baked to take to Carters' teachers & mine & Justin's work...

We had so much fun playing Santa for the first time. We didn't go overboard since we knew he was getting tons from grandparents & such plus he has a birthday coming up in a few months.

Carter checking out what Santa brought him...

Carter lounging on the couch with his new Elmo remote...

Bailey wearing her jingle bell collar...

The tree & some decorations...

Lucky Loo getting into some mischief...
Carter loves his new ride on/push toy & of course his gripe water to get rid of those terrible hiccups!

Hadley & Carter opened gifts separately due to different nap times...here she is opening her new vacuum cleaner!

Camo cat

Can you spot Lucky?!?!!?

Please excuse the mess on the coffee table in the living room but I was working on Christmas decorations the other day & I found her wedged inbetween everything...what a nut!! I'm guessing she was trying to hide from Bailey who likes to think she is her play toy to chase around....

Carters' creations

Here are a few projects Carter has done at school...

Gobble, gobble!

I love this festive plate!

These "hand"made things...no pun intended :)...are so sweet & I will cherish them forever!!

Also a little update on the Flurry house...

Amy from SS called me yesterday right at 5 to let me know Carter was running a 101 fever. He is so pitiful when he is sick. I get him home, give him some tylenol & he is so tired he falls asleep right in my arms. It was so sweet all cuddled up with him though. I put him in his bed by 6 & he slept through the night in his clothes from yesterday, no bath, bottle, etc. He woke up a little warm this morning so I gave him some more tylenol & he drank his whole breakfast bottle & seemed ok. Justin took him in with his plate full of goodies I made for his teachers so hopefully he'll be better today. He may just be teething but if not we may be headed to the doctor later on today. Don't want a sick baby for his first Christmas!!

Also two of our good friends Julia (Ryan) & Lauren (Allen) had two beautiful babies on Monday. Lauren had Ava around 2:15pm weighing 6 lbs 1 oz & 19 inches long & Julia had Wyatt around 7:30pm weighing 7 lbs 2 oz & 22.5 inches long...I couldn't believe how long he was!! I think it is so fun that they have the same birthday now! Babies are a fabulous Christmas present! You can read Julia's blog too but poor little Wyatt had to go to the NICU yesterday b/c he had a fever & they think he may have a virus or caught an infection during delivery. He may be there for 3-7 days. I just hope they can at least get him home for Christmas which is also Ryan's birthday. I know things will be fine but everyone keep them in your prayers! We would love to go visit both of them but with Carter sick we aren't taking any chances.

More ho, ho, ho...

Here is the pic of little man that Justin took that is a better "smile" than what Santa's elves captured below...
Waiting in line...I have so many shots of this...tongue out! :)
Sweet pic with Daddy...I wish he didn't have his little pink spot by his mouth...that eczema just pops up randomly.

His hair cracks me up in all these pics...it looks like I was just rubbing a balloon on his head. :)

Fa la la la la...

Last night we took Carter to see Santa! He was such a trooper while we waited in line & didn't start getting tired until right before we were the next ones up (it was almost 7...his bed time). Carter didn't mind 'ole St. Nick at all & turned around a couple of times to grab on his beard a little...it was pretty cute! The elves only took 3 pics & this was the best shot...notice the tongue sticking out! :) He was doing this the whole time in line too. We did get one good pic on our camera on his lap but I haven't downloaded it yet...I know I always say that but I like to keep you coming back for more. :)

And here is the one I referred to in the post below where he fell over reaching for his paci & washcloth...he was cracking up!!

"Oh can I just reach it?!?!"

On its way...

Just got on Tiny Prints & the Christmas card is on the UPS truck & headed to our house today...WOOHOO! So I get to address over 100 cards tonight so I can I have them in the mail tomorrow...that will be fun. Here are a few outtakes from the photo session but not the one I chose of course. :) The funniest one is when Carter fell over on his head reaching for his paci & he's laughing...that one is at home on the computer so I'll have to put it on here later. So happy to finally be able to get them out!
