Only 9 more days...

'til AU football starts!!! :) The first 3 games are night games too which we are *super* pumped about...we'll just have to see how good of a job this new coach can do...I'm not holding my breath!

So here is the long awaited update to the blog...I've been talking about doing it for weeks...I finally got a chance to actually change the background & a few other things too since it has been a little slow at work. I'm still trying to figure out how anyone finds time to get anything done when you work full time & have kids. I absolutely love being busy and productive but trying to keep the house clean, spend time with Carter when we're not working, cooking, doing laundry, having a social life, etc.; it can be a challenge to find an extra moment to do anything! Sometimes I just wish there were more hours in a day!! :)

Get this...I just found out about a neat little Google program called picasa which is free to download & it makes a copy of all of your pics from your computer in a snap. I love the way it displays all of your pics too so they are much easier to see. Then you can select certain pics & you click on the blogger icon & it'll post them directly on your blog...I absolutely LOVE it & know how much time it will save me! Just what I need! :) The only thing I haven't figured out yet is how to compress the pics so the file size is smaller & I can put more pics on one post. Right now it is only allowing me to put 4 at a time & I'm tired of trying to figure it out...that'll be another day. So there are going to be about 5 blogs in a row with pics, but oh well, at least you still get to see little Carter man!

The pics will just go in order from most recent to the latest (July 4th)...

The big post...

I threw a surprise party for my mom's 60th birthday on August 6th! It turned out great & we had about 20 people show up. She was completely shocked & is still talking about it. :) I had so much fun planning it & keeping it a surprise from her especially since she was at my house all day everyday helping take care of Carter before she went back to teaching on the 10th. There was almost a slip on the answering machine that I heard when I got home right before the party, it said "hey it's Tina, can't wait for tonight!" I could've killed her but luckily my mom didn't hear the answering machine!!!

I love this pic! What an expression...

He loves bath time now...
Right before we went to the Barons game...in his baseball attire of course.

He looks like he just got spooked!

And even more...

My brother was sitting on the couch with Carter right before bedtime & he fell asleep. Then little Miss Lucky came over & curled up with them. This was kind of surprising since Lucky rarely even acts like Carter exists...not like she doesn't like him but that she doesn't really care, just like most cats would act.

A close up...
Carter playing in his exersaucer...

Tummy time...

almost there...

Ok so some of my pics just got deleted...there is another full shot of this tacky stroller. It is my moms and came from Germany. My parents lived there for 3 years before me or my brother came along. Of course my mom kept it b/c she loved it (& still does). So here is the first grandbaby taking a stroll. It has a little umbrella on top too so I'll have to post another pic or update this one with it. He did have a good time in it...it rides pretty well & is kind of bouncy! I couldn't quit laughing the whole way around the block when we were strolling him. :)

Here is Carter in the process of stripping his clothes & getting ready for a bath. I thought he looked like the state puff marshmallow man from the Ghostbusters movie...
Here are Bailey & Carter playing on our bed...
What a sweet smile!

July 4th

For the 4th of July, Riverchase held a neighborhood parade with antique/convertible cars so we walked/strolled to the end of our street to watch it with our moms. Some of the people threw out beads and candy! The night before they had fireworks at the country club which we almost missed b/c they started about 10 min. early. They were really loud! On Sat. night we went over to Homewood to watch "Thunder on the Mountain" which I hadn't seen in years...we had a great time & I think Carter did too! He actually slept through the big fireworks over Vulcan. :)

Here is Carter man & his beads!
