4 month appt.

WOW have we got a big boy!!! We went to the ped. for our 4 mo. check up this morning & he weighs 16 lbs 13 oz, so she went ahead & said 17lbs!!! He is going to be out of his pumpkin seat in no time. He is 26 in. long which means he has grown 2.75 inches in 2 mos. & his head circumference is 17.75 which has grown 1.75 inches from last time. He is in the 90th percentile for weight & 95th percentile for height. I seriously couldn't believe it when she said 17 lbs b/c I swear I weighed him a few wks ago & he was 14.5!

He had 4 shots & 1 oral vaccine & was a trooper like last time & only cried for maybe 30 sec. Of course he zonked out on the way home but I was so proud of how well he did. I was thinking he was going to be so much more aware this time around & scream like crazy but he didn't.

So now we get to start cereal and baby food...woohoo! This is going to be interesting using a spoon...the thought of that seems so crazy to me. The doctor said we could do cereal mixed with applesauce at first & then start introducing some fruits and veggies. Oh how fun...I can't wait to see his expression when we try this! I'm sure it is going to be a mess but I bet he'll catch on quickly...he has never been afraid to eat. :)

Last night he slept through the night...well 8.5 hours which was awesome! He has done it a few times before but for awhile he has been waking up around 3:45 or so looking for his paci & then continues to do that some throughout the morning until we get up by 7 or so. Just having that uninterrupted sleep is so wonderful! So if he keeps this up hopefully we can finally get him moved up in his nursery that we worked so hard on & has barely been used. :)

Hopefully I'll get some time soon to upload some new pics...and the poor blog is overdue for an update...if only there were more than 24 hours in a day!
