Easter bunny came early?!?

Meet "BB" the wild cottontail baby bunny Justin found in our yard today. BB stands for "Birthday Bunny" since we found her on Carter's b'day. Ok I know what you're thinking...not ANOTHER pet...don't worry, we aren't keeping her even though I think it'd be fun to have a pet bunny. :) I am going to take her to the wildlife center at Oak Mountain tomorrow since she is injured. One of our sweet dog/puppy must have nipped her right side b/c she has a puncture wound that we checked out & put some neosporin on. I read up online how to care for them...it said she is probably 3-5 wks old & they actually separate from their mother by 16 days. We fed her some of Carter's formula & I think she liked it. :) She likes clover, grasses, etc. so we put some of that in her box too & some water in a cap. She is maybe 4-5 inches long...SO cute!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Carter man!!!

This was one of the greatest days of our lives!!! Carter Matthew Flurry born March 30, 2009 at 1:22 pm weighing 8 lbs 6 oz & 21.25 inches long. We love you more than you'll ever know!!

Here is a little sneak peek of the birthday party pics from Sat. I have SO many to go through & post! Carter & I went to dinner with some of my girlfriends last night & I told them I would post them when I got home, BUT I think I am still barely running on fumes from the madness of this past w/e...they're going up tonight fo' sho' (that one's for you Shanana)!! We do have dinner plans tonight to celebrate the big day at J. Alexander's...yummy...can't wait! Too bad I gave up fries for Lent so I can't have their delicious shoestring fries...at least Easter is this w/e! :) Oh & is it terrible that the real thing I am pumped about is turning his car seat around now that he's ONE?!!?

Oldies but goodies

Well they're not that old, but from a few months ago. I came across them when I was cleaning out/organizing the pics on our computer. For a few days, Lucky decided to grace us with her presence during bath time. She doesn't seem to mind water as much as other cats do...a curious cat to say the least!

 

So I am taking off tomorrow & Friday to prepare for the "Big One" party on Saturday! I'm so excited about all that I have planned...hopefully I can pull it all off. :) I'm sure I will be taking a short hiatus from the blog to indulge in the chaos of this party. I have a feeling it is going to be MADNESS but I'm looking SO forward to it!! It's supposed to be a pretty day so hopefully it will be a fun indoor/outdoor party at the house. My sweet nieces & fam will be here tomorrow afternoon to stay with us for the w/e...can't wait to see them!!!

We've completely fallen off the rocker...

...and adopted a new PUPPY!!!!! She is absolutely precious & we just couldn't resist her sweet face. It is all thanks to my husband who loves "looking" at all sorts of stuff on the internet & decided to get on petfinder.com & send me the link & now here she is!!! We named her Coco & she is the sweetest puppy ever. She is about 3 months old & is obviously mix but we aren't quite sure what. The humane society said she was part Australian shepherd which is what Bailey partly is but we took her to our vet who knows us all too well & he said that since she has the brindle coloring that she may have some boxer & that her short tail looks like a weimaraner & she may have some lab, so who knows. He did say that since she already has long legs that she'll probably be tall. Mutts are the best & we are so excited to have her as part of our family now! Bailey & her get along so well...they love to wrestle & play. The cats are slowly getting used to her. Carter hasn't been around her too much yet since he went to my moms to spend the night last night but so far so good.

I figured out that it seems like every year b/w March & May we have to get something new for the house/us. The first year we moved in we got Lucky on St. Patty's Day hence the name, the next year we got Bailey the beginning of May, last year we had our amazing son Carter on March 30th & now we got Coco on Saturday. Wonder what we'll have/get next year?!!? :)

Addy's wedding

We went to Nashville last Friday for Addy's wedding at the Opryland Hotel. We had both never been before & wow it is HUGE!! The ceremony was in one of the gardens called the Delta Pavilion & the reception was in a separate garden with a beautiful fountain. They have maps everywhere & you can easily get lost in that place! We had a great time & I'm sure they are having an awesome time in Hawaii this week!! Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. Sullivan! We love you both!

Hadley's 2nd Birthday Party!

Saturday, March 6th we went down to Mobile for Hadley's 2nd birthday party. We had a blast & really enjoyed spending time with the fam!! It was a beautiful day & we were so glad we could be there to help celebrate her big day (which was officially on March 4th). Happy 2nd Birthday Miss Hadley!!! We love you!
